One of the ways in which Court Appointed Advocates make a difference is to stay informed and know when to advocate. Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE) is common among children who have suffered abuse and neglect. The effects of ACE can be mitigated by closing the gap between trauma and taking action. Stable, nurturing relationships with caring adults can prevent or reverse the damaging effects of toxic stress. Delaware County CASA has more than 300 children on our waiting list for a Court Appointed Special Advocate. Please click the link above to fill out an Application. We’ll schedule a time with you for a personal interview and tell you three ways you can be involved.
