Internships at CASA further the mission of CASA to advocate for the best interests of abused and neglected children who are in the Court System through no fault of their own.   We recruit, train and support community volunteers who serve as Court Appointed Special Advocates for abused and neglected children in juvenile court system proceedings. Student interns play a valuable role in contributing to our capacity to carry out our mission and provide student interns with real-world experiences.

Training for the Child Home and School Visitor

The role of field shadowing a Child and Home School Visitor requires that the student be an Officer of the Court and sworn in as a Court Appointed Special Advocate for CASA.

Training to become a Child Home and School Visitor takes place three times a year in the Spring, Summer and Fall.  Talk with your class professor about whether the 30 hours of training can count towards the internship hour requirements.  Download a copy of the upcoming training schedule and complete an application.
