A common misunderstanding is that child sex trafficking happens in foreign countries and only in the largest of urban environments. The truth is child sex trafficking is a growing problem in Delaware County and throughout Indiana.
As the Indy Star Reports, the Indiana State Report on Human Trafficking, issued in December by the state attorney general’s office, identified 120 sex trafficking victims under age 18 in the first 10 months of last year. The youngest victim was 7 years old; the average age was 15.6 years.
